Rental Policies (updated 1/1/08)

 

Rates:  Please see rate table

Check in/out:  Check-in time - 3 pm. Check-out time - 10 am . Late check out ( 10 pm ) may be arranged for 1/2 days rental if unit is available.
Minimum stay: 6 night minimum rental, except 10 day during Dec-Jan holiday period.

Maximum Occupancy: 4 persons maximum (please call about arrangements for infants)
Advanced Reservation Policy:
Longer reservations will have higher priority according to the following policy: All reservations of less than 12 days will be tentative up to 4 months before the start of the rental, after which they will be guaranteed (with receipt of deposit). No deposit is required for tentative reservations.
Deposit and payment:
  $300 non-refundable deposit to hold guaranteed reservation and to be held as damage deposit, full amount due 8 weeks before arrival.  We accept personal checks.  Deposit will be refunded within one week of checkout

All rates subject to 11.416% Hawai

Refunds:
In the event of cancellation, full refund of rental payment and taxes up to 8 weeks before arrival
**.  For cancellations after that date, loss of rent and taxes for those days the unit cannot be re-rented.
Important restrictions:  
Absolutely no smoking in or around unit.  No pets.  Four persons maximum occupancy.
Cleaning Fees: 
Arrival and departure cleaning are included in rates.  For longer stays we can sometimes arrange special cleaning at intermediate dates.

Travel Insurance :  We strongly advise purchase of travel insurance. Google "travel insurance" or look at http://insuremytrip.com/ for a variety of choices. Most insurers require that the travel insurance be made at the same time as the reservation.

* Happily, we have still never had to charge for damage (after more than 12 years of rentals). Our renters rock! We do not, of course, attempt to charge for normal "wear and tear", so if you break something, tell us (and clean it up!). You are on vacation.

** If the renter decides to cancel, the deposit is forfeited. Similarly if we have to cancel the rental (e.g. because of damage to the unit by prior renter), we would return all funds, pay the renter $300, and make every attempt to help the renter find alternative accommodations. Again, neither of these situations has occurred in our 12 years of renting 503 Palms.
